Happy New Year from Fussels

on January 03, 2018

Seeing as this is the first of a series of blogs, what better time to start than right at the beginning of the New Year. So the first thing I would like to do is wish you all a happy New Year, may it be filled with everything you wish for and nothing that you don’t!

2017 has been extremely busy for us here at Fussels, so let me briefly recap.

Our new building is not so new anymore and it is hard to believe that a little over 18 months ago we were still working out of a small portacabin with a leaky roof. Teething problems aside our new press and three stage filtration system are working a treat and the oil is flowing freely. You can even come and tour the building and see how everything works. We have welcomed numerous groups, who have enjoyed our ‘Field to Fork Tours’, culminating with a demo in our kitchen and sampling some of our famous products and recipes. Our kitchen is being used more and more and we have seen many different events from our own ‘Corporate Cook-Off’ to Networking Breakfasts and Lebanese Evenings.

After much legwork and uncertainty we finally started working with Sainsbury’s and Morrison’s in the run up to Christmas and our aim of becoming a national brand is inching ever closer. Our Smoked Oil is now available up and down the country and it would be fantastic if you could let us know where you find it using the hashtag #findfussels or take a photo and share on Facebook or Twitter using hashtag #smokedoilselfie.

Please feel free to engage with us as much as possible as we progress through his next year, there will be all sorts cropping up with new products to look out for, competitions to join in with and events to take part in. Also we will be continuing our calendar of events from March onwards and we will let you know where you can come and see us, but don’t forget you are always welcome to pop in during office hours Monday- Friday, we’d love to see you.

So let’s get cracking, all the very best,

Tim
