Our rapeseed is also very good for horses, introduced gradually into your horses feed ration, no more than 50 ml per day to start with, rising to 150 ml for leisure horses and up to 300 ml for performance horses, ponies 50 ml per day.
- Provides essential fatty acids (EFAs), useful for the production of hormones.
- Great for body condition as oil is very energy dense, easily digested and absorbed; it’s an excellent way to maintain weight.
- Slow release of energy, a good source of muscle fuel for horses, particularly those in endurance-type work. Due to its relatively slow breakdown, it’s ideal for horses that tend to ‘fizz up’ or tie-up on cereal starch.
